This is "The 500 Yearbook", the book that covers the Michigan International Race in 1996 that was held in competition with the Indianapolis 500. The CART (Championship Auto Racing Teams) were literally legislated out of the Indianapolis 500 in 1996 and the car owners decided to hold their own 500 mile event at the Michigan International Speedway. Publisher carl Hungness was in attendance and produced this 160 page annual as a tribute.
